Book Pick

Thanks to all of you who gave suggestions for my book club pick. I'm sure you're just dying to know what book I picked, right? Unfortunately, I have to confess that I didn't choose any of your suggestions - fabulous as they were. Instead I picked Rebecca by Daphne du Maurier. I just love that book. If you haven't read it, then I highly recommend it. But don't be a cheater pants and watch the movie first!

Speaking of books, I am loving goodreads.com. Thanks for the suggestion, Chelsea! Then I saw on Megan's site that she had her bookshelf on her blog! I thought it was so cool that I got one of my own! So, check it out!

Ice Skating

On Saturday I took my young women to Salt Lake for the General Young Women's Conference. (Special thanks to John and Chelsea for watching Lydia during that no-babies-allowed event.) While we were there we, of course, toured temple square. But then we went ice skating! I've never been before, and neither had most of my girls. I was so very proud of myself for letting go of the wall after only one time around, but then this little tiny girl came and showed us all up. I'm afraid I never quite got around to those one-footed moves and the pirouettes, but here's a picture of one of my own fancy moves.

See you at the Olympics!

Before and After

Every year Jef spends a couple months growing out his hair and beard for the Convenio. (Are all men so vain about their facial hair?) But now it's over and he shaved and got a haircut this morning. So here is a selection of the many faces of Jef:

Easter Convenio

This last weekend was the Easter Convenio.
(What in the world is a Convenio, you ask? It's a fancy name for an Easter play about Christ's death and resurrection where no one has speaking parts,
but there is scriptural narration and music.)
Jef wasn't directing this year, but he still helped tons.
And I know I'm prejudiced, but I really do think the show was better with Jef as director.
This year's show, however, was still great because of the amazing cast...

Jef and Tom were apostles
Momma was a Garden Woman. (Not the same as a gardener.)
All three had solos and did a fabulous job.
And Robyn was a child. :-)

Cool Cars

I opened my fridge this morning and found a surprise.

Gotta love those little boys.

Spring!

The crocuses are blooming!
The day the crocuses bloom has got to be
one of the best days of the year!
Winter won't really last forever.
Even if there's more cold and snow before Winter gives in,
Spring is on the way, and nothing can stop it now!
